Who we are

This platform and web site at www.infrastructurereportcard.org.ng is powered by The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), National Headquarters, National Engineering Centre, Labour House Road, Central Business District, Abuja, FCT info@nse.org.ng, Nigeria’s foremost professional body, to facilitate the dissemination of Nigeria’s Infrastructure Report Card, and Stakeholder Reviews to help inform decision-makers on areas of improvements necessary to ensure our country is well built for the future.

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is the umbrella organization for the Engineering Profession in Nigeria. The Society looks after the professional needs of members through well-structured programmes and regular interactions among the different cadre of membership, enhancing high professional standards and ethical practices.

Nigerian Infrastructure data Acquisition from NSE members is submitted at the webform found atIRCs Data: NSE Authorised Submission and Nigeria’s infrastructure data contributions from Stakeholder and the general public is submitted at IRCs Data: Public Submission, which is a Web form powered by Citrix, The Citrix Privacy Policy and TRUSTe Compliance certification can be found here. All data acquired on this platform would be used solely for the analysis of Nigeria’s Infrastructure by Stakeholder and for Nigeria’s Infrastructure Report Cards IRCs. 

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection And Use

While using our Site, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally, identifiable information may include but is not limited to your name (“Personal Information”) and your email address.

Log Data

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”).

This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.  We use log data to determine which articles are popular and which ads are clicked on.

In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics, Monster Analytics, Addthis and Mailchimp that collect, monitor and analyze this Log Data.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with our daily newsletter, marketing or promotional materials and other information that we think you may be interested in.

Comments

 When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

 If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

 If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with

 If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

 If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
